January 5, 2021 – Mike Koschmeder, a supervisor with Telligen, received the Patriot Award from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office. The Patriot Award is given to individuals who go above and beyond to support their employees who are service members.
Joshua Sprague, an employee-owner at Telligen and a commander with the Iowa Army National Guard nominated Koschmeder for supporting his service. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
“I was called quickly in March to support our State’s COVID 19 response,” said Sprague. “Mike allowed me to focus on my Army mission and took on my responsibilities as a project manager on top of his director duties. As we have stayed in touch, he always asks how I am doing as well as asking how my family is doing. He has been a strong supporter of my military career.”
“Supportive employers like Telligen are vital to the success of our mission and the defense of this nation,” said Becky Coady, Iowa ESGR state chair. “Our Guard and Reserve members could not perform their military duty without knowing their civilian employers support them 100%”
Telligen thanks Sprague for his continued service to our country.
