West Des Moines, IA — Telligen, Inc. is proud to announce it has earned the National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) highest distinction in Case Management Accreditation with a perfect score in both Complex Case Management and Transitional Case Management. This three-year accreditation – awarded after a rigorous review of Telligen’s robust infrastructure, procedures, and personnel in case management (CM) – further demonstrates Telligen’s commitment to excellence in patient care and quality improvement.
The NCQA Case Management Accreditation evaluates organizations in the areas of:
- Patient identification and assessment
- Care planning
- Care monitoring
- Care transitions
- Measurement and quality improvement
- Staffing, training and verification
- Rights and responsibilities
- Privacy, security and confidentiality procedures
NCQA awards the three-year accreditation to organizations that demonstrate strong performance of the functions outlined in the standards for Case Management accreditation. For more than 25 years, Telligen has performed these services for clients nationwide, helping to deliver better outcomes and better care delivery while lowering costs and provider burden.
“We are delighted to add NCQA Complex Case Management and Transitional Case Management accreditation to our list of achievements,” said Chad Piper, Vice President of Health Plans and Commercial Services. “We could not be prouder of our teams for achieving a perfect score on their initial submission. This accomplishment further demonstrates our commitment to quality case management services and reduces delegate oversight burdens on our State Medicaid Agencies, Commercial Employers, and Managed Care health plan partners.”
NCQA Accreditation standards are developed with input from researchers in the field, the Case Management Expert Panel and standing committees, employers, both purchasers and operators of Case Management programs, state and federal regulators and other experts.
“Case Management Accreditation moves us closer to measuring quality across population health management initiatives,” said Margaret E. O’Kane, President, NCQA. “Not only does it add value to existing quality improvement efforts; it also demonstrates an organization’s commitment to the highest degree of improving the quality of their patients’ care.”
