West Des Moines, IA — Telligen, Inc. is proud to announce it has been awarded the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Population Health Program (PHP) Accreditation. This three-year certification was granted after a rigorous review of Telligen’s robust infrastructure, procedures, and personnel, specifically in the realm of population health. Further, it attests to the organization’s ongoing commitment to quality improvement.
The NCQA Population Health Program evaluates organizations in the areas of data integration, population assessment and segmentation, targeted interventions, practitioner support, measurement and quality improvement. For more than 25 years, Telligen has performed these services for clients nationwide, helping to deliver better outcomes and better care delivery while lowering costs and provider burden.
“At Telligen, we believe in helping people live their healthiest lives through proven health solutions. Achieving this accreditation through NCQA illustrates our commitment to raising the bar in person-centered population health management,” said Neal Cohen, Vice President, State Health Solutions.
NCQA Accreditation standards are developed with input from various stakeholders and resources: health plans, population health management industry leaders and organizations, an expert panel and standing committees. These standards are purposely set high to encourage organizations to continuously enhance their quality.
“The Population Health Management programs moves us in greater alignment with the increased focus on person-centered population health management,” said Margaret E. O’Kane, President, NCQA. “Not only does it add value to existing quality improvement efforts; it also demonstrates an organization’s highest level of commitment to improving the quality of care that meets people’s needs.”
