Telligen’s Health & Well-Being business unit delivers a comprehensive suite of health and well-being services to our self-funded employer clients that engage their employees and their family members regardless of where they are on the Spectrum of Health™. We also offer these services internally to our own employee-owners (EO’s), because who doesn’t want their health and well-being vendor to walk the talk?!
And those services are having a major impact on Telligen’s 2017 health plan costs, trending far below our original health plan projections for the year. So low in fact, that we decided to celebrate these positive financial results by giving something back to our EO’s as a way of saying thank you for the efforts to improve their health and use the health plan wisely. So, everyone enjoyed a “premium” holiday, where we did not take any deductions for health plan contributions from paychecks in the month of December.
Examples of the positive efforts we saw were:
- Increased engagement in Telligen wellness and health management programs (at-risk health coaching, chronic condition management, lifestyle coaching)
- Utilization of the Telehealth solution in lieu of doctor office visits
- Enrollment and utilization of a prescription savings tool
- Reduction in ER visits
- Reduction in hospital admissions
