Telligen is excited to announce its latest update on enhancements made to our latest Qualitrac release (2024.02). Our clinical and technical experts work year-round to enhance and advance the product, which is how we’re able to help our clients achieve their goals for quality and outcomes improvement, and cost savings.
Utilization Management Enhancements
Auto Continued Stay Review Flow – New automated flow for notifying providers when a new continued stay review request is due for their patient. With this flow the request process is initiated for the provider. Providers merely complete the request and provide updated clinical, or complete discharge information in the event the member is longer at the facility. This new flow helps ensure there are not gaps in a members stay.
Full Date Span for Inpatient Admissions with Continued Stay Reviews – The Qualitrac system has implemented an update for the Utilization Management (UM) module to display the complete ‘Start’ through ‘End’ date in the admission and discharge panel for each inpatient stay request, when there are multiple requests associated the same case. Displaying this information is helpful for users to easily view the full span on a member’s inpatient stay.
Claims History Search Tool – The Qualitrac system has implemented a new Claims History Search. Clients using a configured Application Programming Interface (API) connection to a third-party vendor now have access to search and display Claims History results. This information helps Clinical Reviewers and Care Managers understand the medical services a member may have already received.
Ability to accept documents into the task queue via SFTP – Documents sent to Telligen via SFTP can now be loaded into the task queue as a process document task. Additionally, there is the ability to identify a review type to be associated with the document being uploaded which helps determine the appropriate review team to assign the review to without any manual intervention.
Fee Schedule Logic Updates – New logic utilizing client specified fee schedules to alert requestors when a service they are requesting does not require a prior authorization. This saves the requestor time and reduces the burden of filling out unnecessary forms.
Assessment Management Enhancements
PASRR Level 1 Enhancements – The Qualitrac team jam packed the enhancements in for the PASRR Level 1 assessment this quarter! The enhancements to the PASRR Level 1 form help to improve the flow of the questionnaire and ensure compliance with Federal regulations. These updates include things such as new provisional admission questions, new document upload category for EHD admissions, new values for submission reason, updates to the auto approval algorithm and reporting functionality.
Case Search Update – Qualitrac users with the role of: Scheduler, Assessor or QA Reviewer can now search for Assessment Management cases using a Case ID. This enhancement increases system functionality for users with these roles to search for AM cases, making it easier and more efficient to locate the assessment case they are looking for.
Care Management Enhancements
Nutrition Logging – New nutrition logging feature added to our mobile app that allows users to easily track and log information pertaining to their nutritional intake. Utilizing the USDA food database, users can enter a variety of foods and ingredients under the categories of Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks as well as Water Intake. For each entry the macro nutrients are collected and computed to provide the member with a view of their daily total information. The nutrition logging option our mobile app provides is an easy-to-use feature that is nice for members that do not have access to, or utilize, a device or app that syncs their nutrition data for them.
Core System Enhancements
Qualitrac System Time Out Warning Update – An enhancement has been made in the system to allow users to access and dismiss the session time out warning (when 30 min. of inactivity has passed) when working in a modal or on additional tabs.
New Tracking Feature for Viewed Letters – A new tracking feature is available in the Qualitrac system to log and display an activity when Provider Portal users view letters attached to a review. This update will assist in determining when a provider received and reviewed the notification. The UM Authorization Request Summary screen will display the name of the letter, the user who viewed it, the date and time the letter was viewed in the Activity panel.
