Most people know that eating fruits and vegetables is important for good health, but most of us still aren’t getting enough. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only 1 in 10 adults meet the intake recommendations for fruits and veggies.

At Telligen, one thing we do to help our employee-owners get more fruit into their routine is offering Free Fruit Fridays in all our corporate offices.

Here are some ideas to help you and your family fit more fruits and vegetables into your day:

  • Cut up fruits and veggies ahead of time so they’re ready for quick, healthy snacks.
  • Challenge your family to try a new veggie or fruit every week.
  • Fill half your plate with veggies and fruit at every meal
